Character Growth Through Dance
Dance is more than movement—it’s a discipline that strengthens your child’s mindset. In each Mini-Mester class, dancers practice patience, build resilience, and learn how to follow direction with focus and care. These character skills often carry over into school, sports, and social settings. Our instructors support each dancer’s emotional development by creating a space where progress is praised and effort is celebrated.
Skill & Social Development in Every Class
Our 6-week structure encourages consistent progress in core dance techniques—while providing valuable social interaction. Dances learn how to take turns, collaborate in group routines, and express themselves with purpose. These early social-emotional and motor coordination skills are especially important for preschool and elementary-aged dancers. By the end of the session, many families tell us their dancer is more independent, self-assured, and eager to return.
Building Community Through Dance
From first-time toddler to teens with experience, every dancer is welcomed into our ZD community. Our summer sessions foster a spirit of belonging, mutual respect, and encouragement. ZD Dance Academy is absolutely amazing. I am always at all at the technique that my daughter learns every season. 5 stars because my 3 year old daughter loves her dance classes. It's something she looks forward to on Saturday mornings. Ms. Monet and her team don't play. That's one of the reasons I really like ZDDA. I feel they teach the kids not only dance, but also how to be independent and confident. You feel ZDDA really does care about the character of your child.
Since being a dance MOM with the ZDDA, family they have been instrumental to shaping my daughter’s growth, discipline and skill sets while building her confidence on and off the stage. We came to visit and left out as family. From day 1, everyone was so welcoming and supportive. I just love Ms. Mone’t energy. I used to wonder what my 2 year daughter was doing for a hour….then boom!!! The recital. It was worth every penny. The costumes, the performances…. everything was so uniform. ZD is more than dance it’s a family! I was referred by a friend whose daughter was already a member and heard great things about them. My first day meeting everyone met every expectation. I met Ms. Monet, the owner at the ZD, at the Back to Dance Bash and she was so welcoming and made me feel safe to have my daughter be a part. Not only Ms. Monet, but everybody! Sevyn, my daughter, has been there now for about 2 months and it feels like forever. I am so happy that we can be a part of this organization and build memories with them! My two daughters dance here and we absolutely adore the studio, staff, and environment!!! My oldest daughter has danced here since she was 18 months and my youngest since she was 2. My kids enjoy learning new skills and meeting new friends every season! What I love the most about this particular studio is how dedicated the director is to each and every kid. How caring and motivated each teacher is to the youngest to the oldest child. My daughter has been with ZD Academy since she was 4 years old and now she is 12. I was referred to ZD by a friend land I always thank her for that referral. ZD in my eyes is not only allowing my daughter to participate in something that she really loves to do but helps to keep her from falling ill to her illness. My daughter has Sickle Cell and it is very severe. With being active in dancing, it helps her to stay out of the hospital. She went from having blood transfusion frequently to might having one once or twice a month. Her doctors tell me all the time that my daughter has a story and ZD will always be a part of her story & journey. They are not just a dance academy but they are family and I am here to tell anyone to come and be a part of the family. Your child will enjoy the experience and life teachings that ZD provides. My daughter has been a part of ZD Dance Academy since she was three. I love this studio! It’s not just a studio is a family. Always great customer service and they take great pride in teaching them girls how to be ladies. The owner Mone't remember your kid's names and treats them girls like they’re her own. My daughter at three told Mone't three different names until she had to ask me what my daughter's name 🤣. Mone't Still calls her by all three names. My daughter went from a shy toddler to a personality that’s bigger than life. The love and support she pours into them girls is something to be admired. The recitals are beyond reproach and the costumes are amazing. Believe me, you will have a closet full of costumes that your kid can enjoy time after time after time. This is a great studio for your kids to join and get so much more than dance lessons. The studio is very clean as well.
